What is Cliphanger?
Cliphanger is a convenient tool that allows portable electronic devices to be securely held and attached to other objects. It is a simple one piece unit that stays with the device for convenience without bulk.

How do I install and use Cliphanger?
Cliphanger is attached with an industrial adhesive tab that holds securely but can be removed if needed. Cliphanger can be hung on pegs and hooks. By flexing the free end at the opening, it can be slipped though loops or straps for retention. For complete details, see the Instructions Page.

How durable is Cliphanger?
Cliphanger is designed to remain functional for the useful life of common portable consumer electronic devices. However, due to slight variations in manufacturing and differences in handling by each user, the life of the product can be altered.

What if Cliphanger breaks?
Cliphanger products are warranted to remain functional for one year from the date of purchase. We will replace any Cliphanger product within the warranty period that breaks, becomes permanently deformed so as to alter proper function, or exhibits signs of failure. To receive a replacement, submit a Warranty Claim.

Will Cliphanger fit my phone?
The Cliphanger is universal and will fit most phones. If your phone or other portable device has a flat, sturdy back/battery door, then it should fit and work well.

What if the phone has a flimsy battery door?
Some phones have battery doors made of a very thin piece of plastic designed only to cover the battery. They are usually attached to the phone by sliding them into place and do not have a spring-loaded catch to lock them in position. Using a Cliphanger with such phones can result in the back detaching from the phone unexpectedly. For such phones, we have battery door reinforcement tabs. These heavy duty clear vinyl tabs can be placed along the seams on either side of the battery door to keep it from shifting and becoming detached.

What if the back of my phone is not flat?
Some phones have features that might interfere with properly attaching a Cliphanger. If modifying the mounting location doesn’t help, using two pieces of adhesive tape to create more distance between Cliphanger and the phone can be a solution.

Will Cliphanger interfere with the camera?
For bar-style phones with the camera aperture on the back, Cliphanger can usually be attached so that it does not block the aperture. For flip-style phones, the “flip” portion can be held to change the camera angle and avoid interference if necessary. See the video Using Cliphanger. How do I remove Cliphanger?
Use a steady, firm twisting motion and the adhesive tape will eventually give. You can use a small amount of alcohol to clean any remaining residue from the back of the phone. See the video Removing Cliphanger.

Can the adhesive tape be re-used?
No. Once the initial bond is broken, the characteristics of the adhesive are compromised and the tape should not be re-used.

Where can I get more adhesive tape?
The industrial strength adhesive we use has unique characteristics that allow Cliphanger to stay attached to your phone in a variety of conditions over a long period of time. It is not a standard adhesive that can be purchased in regular retail environments. We make it available for purchase on our website for a very reasonable price.

Why didn’t the adhesive tape stick?
If new adhesive tape does not bond or stay bonded, it is usually because the surface was not prepared properly before application.
